At the beginning of the year I began working with a child who seemed shy. His work was usually sloppy and generally wouldn't show his work in front of the class. Throughout the year his work began to get neater and more thorough. This student is exceptionally smart as you might be able to tell throughout some of the handouts I will be passing around. As his confidence began to increase and he began writing more, his social skills improved and he began showing his work in the front of the room and would talk about it with high confidence.
